The aileron servo mount box is built as an integral part of the spar system. Also note the hard points and 1/16-square bracing for the scale flying wires.

The fuselage side frames are built directly over the plans.

Joining the fuselage sides begins with gluing the mid section formers in place. Drafting triangles are used to insure the formers are aligned properly.

Glue the vertical stiffeners in place on the rear turtle deck formers to prevent breakage during framing.

Ensure that the rear wing mounting plate is flush with the wing saddle before gluing.

Mount the rudder servo on the center line so the control cables will exit the fuselage sides symmetrically.

The aft fuselage stringers are added using 1/16 square and 1/16 x 1/8 balsa.

The 1/16-square lower fuselage stringers are glued in place from the wing saddle aft.

Remove the nose block and detail using the provided Nose Block pattern for reference.

The rudder assembly is framed up over the plans using the wood sizes shown.

The Himax 2808-890 motor and Castle Creations Phoenix 10 ESC were used in the B-2. This motor and ESC combination works very well on 2 LiPo cells.

The one-piece front and rear wing spars are assembled before the wing is built.

Assemble the center section first, then rock the wing over and build the first panel directly over the plans.

1/16-square wing tip bracing is added to support the tip bow between the front and read main spars.

The aileron assembly is built directly onto the main wing assembly. Also note the hard points and 1/16-square bracing for the scale flying wires.

tack the blue foam nose block to the front fuselage former, then carve and sand to shape.

The landing gear assembly is built up and the foam fairing added. The wheel pants are built up and the seams puttied.

Sand the completed wing assembly to shape, then cut the ailerons out and given a final shaping and sanding.

Balsa stiffeners on the front former prevent breaking it during the framing process. The top cross piece is cut from the opening after the frame is assembled.

With the fuselage sides joined, add the remaining formers and the turtle deck cap.

The wingtip bows are laminated using templates from 3/16-inch artists foam board.

The motor mount is built using a 3/8-square hard balsa stick and the pre-shaped gussets. The right thrust is set using the gussets.

The aft tail fairing block is cut from blue foam and glued in place, then carved and sanded to shape.

The wheel pants are shaped and primed, then fitted on the landing gear assembly. They will be glued in place during final assembly.

The nose block was sealed with two coats of water base polyurethane varnish, sanded smooth and painted with Model Master Acryl.

The Himax motor mounted in the cowl. Cut a slight relief into the front former to clear the motor wiring.

Add the wing center belly pan after covering the wing. The formers are glued in place with the wing bolted to the fuselage to insure proper alignment.

The aileron servo arm protrudes through the servo mount and is connected to the aileron horn using a .032 wire push rod.

The wheel pants are mounted and the scale wing rigging hooks glued in place and painted with Model Master Acryl.

The Thunder Power battery mounts on a 1/16 balsa tray in the fuselage. Battery access is through the cockpit opening.

The elevator assembly is built directly over the plans using the wood sizes shown.

The leading and trailing edges and tip bows are added to the wing panel assembly after the basic rib and spar assembly is glued together.

Ensure that the rear wing mounting plate is flush with the wing saddle before gluing.

Mount the rudder servo on the center line so the control cables will exit the fuselage sides symmetrically.

I secured the Dymond D-47 servos for the ailerons into their mount boxes with silicone caulk.

The wing is covered with Nelson Litefilm and Callie Graphics.

The belly pan is covered beginning at the wing root and wrapped around to the centerline stringer.
