Cooler Model Storage

I have several park flyers and recently hit on this idea for easy transportation and convenient storage for them. I bought a cheap foam cooler and notched the sides to accept the wings with the models positioned nose-down. …

Swashplate Fix

I was given a 380-class helicopter and am very impressed with it. Like any novice, I expected some crashes, and I wasn’t disappointed! The instructions about making repairs with new parts are very clear, but I thought I’d …

ParkZone S.E.5a WWi BNF

The ParkZone S.E.5A is perfect for flying lazy eights or big loops at scale speed is a pure joy. Now, many modelers think that WWl airplanes should be easy to fly which is not necessarily so but this model is an exception. It has just enough dihedral to be stable. DJI Flame Wheel F450

I found the Flame Wheel F450 to be quick building, with no issues during the assembly. The combination of the molded components and the central fiberglass plate structure produced a very strong and rigid structure. The stability of the finished unit is uncanny, and the ability to have a gyro stabilized camera will be of interest to those wanting to try out aerial photography or first person view flying. The computer software installation could be simpler, but once installed, the unit is very easy to program and the default values worked very well.
